As more developers, CI systems, and (especially) AI agents use Flox to search for and resolve packages, we need the ability to protect the service from abusive or runaway automation, and keep resolution responsive for everyone. This week’s Flox CLI v1.14.1 release starts to lay the groundwork for that. Check out go.flox.dev/auth to learn more about which commands will need authentication starting in October 2026.
